Termination of Services or Change in Services

  1. Customer must come to the utility board office to fill out a request for termination of services or changes in their service. Termination of services form must be signed by the customer.
  2. Customer must show photo ID in order to terminate services or change services. This ID must match the one on the original application.
  3. If terminating services, the Customer Service Clerk must make sure the forwarding address is on the form so we can send the final bill to the correct place. If the customer is paying the last bill mailed, then the Clerk must explain that a final bill will be mailed out on the next regular billing date for that route.
  4. If adding services, customer must pay the proper deposit for that service unless they can be waived under the deposit policy.
  5. If removing one service which has a deposit on file, but leaving other services on, and the account is not completely current in payments, that deposit must be applied to the past due bill and can not be refunded. If the last current bill has been paid then the deposit can be refunded by the accounting department on the next appropriate day that accounting writes checks.
