Water Discoloration

Harriman Utility Board is experiencing discoloration of our drinking water due to the interaction of elevated water temperature and our treatment process. The water is continually tested and is safe for drinking, cooking, bathing, etc. We have notified the State of Tennessee Water Supply Division of this problem and are following their recommendations for extended system wide flushing.

We apolgize for any concerns or inconvenience this may cause our customers and our hope is to have this situation resolved just as quickly as possible. Please be assured that the Harriman Utility Board strives to produce water of the highest possible quality and clarity.
