Lionel Moore – Board Member

You are here:

Rev. Lionel Moore was appointed to the Harriman Utility Board last year based on his extensive experience in the industry, to include forty-two years of service at TVA’s Spring City nuclear plant. Rev. Moore is a graduate of Howard High School in Chattanooga, TN, and majored in Business at McKenzie College. Moore served for three years in the U.S. Army; during which time, he was stationed at Ft. Knox, Germany, and Ft. Bliss. While in the Army, Moore attained the rank of Sergeant, and was a qualified tank commander. While in the Military, he also obtained the credentials that would ultimately lead to his long career in the nuclear power field. Rev. Moore is married to Margie (Douglas), a native of Harriman, and is the father and stepfather of five children, seven grandchildren, and two great granddaughters.

In addition to serving on the Harriman Utility Board, Moore is Treasurer of the Roane Ministerial Society and Chaplain for American Legion Post 232. The Rev. Moore’s hobbies include jogging, basketball, bowling, skating, and working out… However, he would have you know that above all; he’s Saved, Sanctified, Holy Ghost filled, and set aside to do a work for the Lord. He’s on a mission, and that is telling the world that, “The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life though Christ Jesus”.
